Hello…it has been awhile!

Hello! It has been a LONG time since I have taken the time to sit down and write a blog post. Life has been busy, as I’m sure it has been for all of you too. I took a job outside of the home about 3 years ago, and have been slowly ramping up my hours. Blogging used to be my full time job/income, but as things in this space shifted (i.e. it has become very difficult to make money blogging!), I found that I needed to find a job with more consistent pay. Perhaps the biggest surprise to me was how much I loved being around people again. Working from home is a huge blessing and got me through the years when my kids were small. But now I enjoy going to work, interacting with people, and coming home and being done with work/able to focus on home. For years blogging invaded every hour of every day if I let it…it was hard to shut off! And again, while I enjoyed it so much, I have also been enjoying this new phase of life too.

All of that said, my job is currently on hiatus due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I am off without pay until we are allowed to go back. I am blessed that my husband is still working and that we have his medical insurance. I have time to focus on homeschooling and all of the house “stuff” right now, so no complaints from me there. I am empathetic to those who aren’t as fortunate, and I am saying A LOT of prayers at night for our leaders and those who are finding themselves without work and stability right now.

While I am at home and have some extra time on my hands, I thought I would try my hand at blogging a bit again, and I would love to hear from you! Are you currently looking for ways to stretch a buck? Stretch the contents of your pantry? Find something that you are out of? Figure out ways to keep the kids entertained? Maintain your sanity? I would like to help! Let me know in the comments below.

I would love any ideas to stretch out my pantry. Also, it would be great to have crockpot recipes. We had a meal from the crockpot last night, and it was helpful to have dinner cooked in one pot while working from home. I love Stretching a Buck. If you see any household items on amazon, I will use your link. Cleaning, food, toiletries, etc.

Welcome back! Even if it is just during this crazy time.
