The holiday season is upon us, and I don’t know about you, but that means a whole lot of cooking and baking is going on at my house! If I have learned anything over the years,  it’s that high quality ingredients are what truly make a recipe great! Dietary restrictions and preferences can make things a little tricky when you are entertaining a crowd, but I recently discovered the Nestlé “Good Choices Made Easy” tool on, and I’m feeling a lot more confident this holiday season.

You can use the Nestlé “Good Choices Made Easy” tool on to search for ingredients based on requirements such as:

  • Gluten Free
  • Non-GMO
  • No rBST
  • No Preservatives
  • No Artificial Flavors
  • No Artificial Colors

How cool is that?! It has never been easier to make good choices for those you love. Is grandma Gluten-Free? Simply select the “Gluten Free” box (as seen in the image above) and scroll through the Nestlé product options that fit the bill! Are you trying to avoid rBST and GMO ingredients in the baked goods you make for your kiddos? There’s a search for that too!

I was playing around with the Nestlé “Good Choices Made Easy” tool today and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Nestlé TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels no artificial colors or flavors AND no preservatives. No wonder they taste so good!

I always have a cabinet full of various Nestlé® Toll House® Chocolate Morsels. They are most definitely a baking staple for me. I like the Mini Morsels for muffins and pancakes, Dark Chocolate Morsels to snack on (shhhh…) and Semi-Sweet Morsels for cookies.

In fact, my “go to” recipe is the Nestlé® Toll House® Chocolate Chip cookie recipe on the back of the bag. It’s a true classic. I am often asked how I make these cookies, and honestly, I buy high quality ingredients, always use Nestlé® Toll House® morsels, and use the same baking sheet I have used for nearly 20 years.

Yum…they are so, so good!

If you are entertaining this holiday season or looking for dinner ideas, you can find delicious Nestlé® products that work with your dietary preferences. Go HERE to learn more and search for your own ingredients. Then, run to your local Walmart store to score everyday low prices on your favorite ingredients. It sounds like a win-win to me!

Now excuse me, I’m off to do some holiday food shopping (and saving!!) of my own. ;-)
