Erin Condren Life Planner Review

2018 Erin Condren Life Planner Review

After what has been one of my favorite summers yet, I am finally forcing myself to sit down and attempt to take control of my office and calendar again. Back to school is taking on a new meaning this year because I’m going back to school myself…with a part-time job! So, in addition to keeping my kid’s activities organized, I have my own new schedule to keep track of. Working from home (on this blog) is still something that I plan on doing, but I am also excited to get a out a few days a week and to be around real, live people. :-)

Every year around this time I have taken to sharing my love of Erin Condren Life Planners with you…and this year is no exception! The all new 2018 Erin Condren Life Planner boasts NEW, thicker paper, and it does not disappoint (more on that in a bit). While I definitely utilize technology, I just haven’t found a replacement for a good, old fashioned paper planner. I love having pockets to store important papers in, pages to write notes in, and a place to see our monthly schedules at a glance. After trying out various planners ranging from the Walmart special to Franklin Covey, I discovered Erin Condren Life planners 5 years ago and I haven’t looked back!

This is my 5th or 6th (?!) Erin Condren Life Planner, hot of the presses:

I’m loving the bright colors!

These planners are a bit of an investment ($55+), but to me, time is money…and being (happily) organized is worth the price! Not to mention, the covers are reusable/swappable, the planners are super durable, and the colors are so fun. I literally use my Erin Condren Life Planner every day! (NOTE: If you are in the market for a simple MONTHLY planner, they do have options starting at just $30!)

I am so excited because 2018 Erin Condren Life Planners are now available for order, and shipping is FREE on orders $100+. PLUS, if you order right now, you can add the remainder of 2017 to your planner for just $5! I did this, so in essence I have an 18 month planner.

Erin Condren 2018 Life Planner Review
My Erin Condren Life Planner is the first planner that I find myself fully using. In the past, I usually filled in the monthly view and rarely used the daily pages, so I was basically wasting half of the paper in my planners. Now, I use the monthly view so that I can see our weeks at a glance, but I also take the time (usually on Sunday nights) to fill in the daily pages as well. I list blog tasks, work out goals, kids activities, appointments, my menu plan and more – and I’m finding that this is really helping me to stay on task. There is something so satisfying about crossing items off of a list.

Here are examples of the 3 different page layouts that you have to choose from:

I have always used the vertical view, and because I am a creature of habit, I haven’t tried the others. I do love having options though, as our lifestyles change over time and what works now might not work a few years form now!

Here are the features of my Erin Condren Life Planner that I love:

  • The size – it easily fits in my larger purses and bags
  • The durability – I have yet to lose a cover, or a page even! (I spill coffee on my planner all of the time – and have never had a rip or tear)
  • The bright colors and simple, easy to follow layout – with room for notes, daily plans etc…
  • The fact that I can customize my own cover
  • The pouch and folders in the back of the planner, and the stickers!
  • They are made in the USA!!
  • The NEW gorgeous, thicker paper. I’m swooning over it…no joke!

I could go on and on. Truly the only “complaint” I have is that I wish they had a snapshot of the next 2 years for planning ahead…versus only showing a snapshot of the months already in the planner. (seen below):

If you like accessories, there are several new Erin Condren Accessories to choose from as well! I’m pretty pumped about the new circle stickers, and I love having extra pouches for coupons and random bits of paper that I don’t want to lose track of.

I have these sticky notes and LOVE them. A girl can never have too many sticky notes in my opinion! ;-)
