Green BEAN Delivery Service Review & Coupon

If you purchase produce on a regular basis, you understand the frustration of shopping for it. Especially if you value organic or locally grown produce! It can be difficult to find everything that you want at any one store, quality can be spotty, and prices can be higher than you want to pay. Thankfully, I have found a great solution to all of my produce frustrations.

I have been using Green BEAN Delivery off and on for the past 2 years, so I was thrilled when they emailed me recently to see if I would be interested in sharing my experience with you. As a long time customer, I’ll talk to anyone about Green BEAN Delivery…because l love it so much!

In a nutshell, here is how the service works. First, you can see on the Green BEAN website where their delivery areas are. If you live in one of the states seen below, you can see if your area has service (note: this service area could change/expand at any time, so be sure to find the most recent availability on the Green BEAN website.)

For my Central Ohio readers, Green BEAN Delivery recently became available in Marysville, OH!!

Sign up for an account on the Green BEAN Delivery website, and you’ll be given a list of bin options. I currently order the Classic Bin, which contains a minimum of $35 worth of fruits & vegetables and free delivery. I sometimes add grocery items to my bin as well.

Once you have selected your bin option, you will be assigned a delivery day of the week, and will be given the option to customize your bin. Bin customization is the main reason why I personally chose to use Green BEAN Delivery over a CSA. Green BEAN does assign you a “default” bin each week, so if you are looking to try new things, that’s a great option. But I almost always go in and customize my default bin with the produce that I want for the week. After you have customized your bin, you have the option of adding grocery items as well. Green BEAN Delivery offers a variety of organic dairy, meat and grocery products, as well as farm fresh eggs and more! I frequently add my favorite coffee creamer (that I can’t find in stores) and Ohio eggs to my order.

Once you have customized your bin, you’ll receive an email confirmation and then your delivery will show up on your front porch on your delivery day. Green BEAN delivery day is one of my favorite days of the week. ;-)

Here is a peek at one of my recent bins:

I did remove the ice pack from the top so that you could see the produce, but everything always comes cold and fresh to my door!

Here is a view once I unpacked the bin:

I love having a variety of produce on hand, especially for fast and easy snacks and lunches. Here is an example of a recent “fruit plate” lunch that I served to my kids. Some days they like to graze, and this is a fast and easy option that they love. (And one where I don’t feel guilty eating the leftovers!)

I seriously love those mini cucumbers by the way…how cute are they?!

So, in a nutshell, here are the things that I love about Green BEAN Delivery:

  • It’s convenient! Home delivery is great, especially during busy weeks when it’s difficult to run to the store.
  • Green BEAN offers great variety and it varies based on what is in season. This means you are receiving quality produce (that tastes great!!), during the time of year when it is in season. I’m also encouraged to try new things based on the fun offerings that are available each week.
  • It’s flexible! I find it extremely easy to pause a bin when you are out of town, and to customize a bin exactly to your liking.
  • The Customer Service is amazing! The few times I have had an issue or error with my order, the Green BEAN team has always been extremely prompt (and generous) in resolving it.

If you are grocery shopping on a budget like I am, know that this service is something that I have been able to work in to our weekly budget, no problem! I set aside a portion of my weekly budget for this service, and I use the rest at the grocery store. Honestly, I feel like I am wasting way less money using Green BEAN delivery, because I have found that the produce is fresher (and tastes better) and lasts longer.

I could go on and on for days, but I’ll let you check it out for yourself! Head over to the Green BEAN Delivery website and learn more about their philosophy, where they food comes from, and if you can order Green BEAN Delivery in your area!

If you do decide to place an order, be sure to use coupon code STRETCHING15 to save 15% off your first 3 bins!!

I would love to hear about your experience with Green BEAN Delivery once you give it a try!
