last minute valentines day ideas

If you are a last minute Valentine’s Day shopper like I am, thankfully your local CVS/pharmacy has you covered! I run in to my local CVS constantly because it’s close to home, fast to get in and out of, and I can find some bargains because I use my ExtraBucks Rewards and pay attention to the yellow sale stickers!

I just swung by my local CVS today and purchased some items for my girls, their teachers and their classmates. For less than $20 I was able to get this (after sale and $3 in ExtraBucks rewards that I had):

valentines day deals

My girls love Ty Beanie Boos and chocolate covered marshmallows, so this cute little gift will be perfect for them! The small boxes of Russell Stover chocolates were only $0.99 each and the Jolly Rancher lollipops were buy one, get one 50% off and are allergy safe for my kid’s classmates.

This week (through 2/14/15) select items are buy one, get one 50% off. It’s also not too late to order Valentine’s Day photo cards starting at $0.75 each and Photo Books starting at $4.99! (Note: photo cards are actually 25% off right now and can be picked up same day). Check out the offerings at and pick up items at your local store!

Most CVS locations carry fresh flowers, and I found a good assortment of candy, stuffed animals and more at my local store. Gold Emblem chocolates (especially truffles) are SO good, but you can also find chocolates from Lindt, Ghirardelli, Russell Stover and more. You’ll also find a nice assortment of greeting cards, gift bags and other wrapping essentials.
