As I sit here tonight writing this post, there are only 3 days left until Christmas. All of the anticipation, planning, and fun of the past couple of months will come to an end soon, and life will return to normal. (Notice I didn’t mention the stress! shhhhh….) I have always been a huge fan of the holidays, but Christmas was always my favorite. My family still teases me to this day because I always got the hiccups from being so excited about Santa and opening presents. Church was always a huge part of our celebration as well.

Now that I am in my mid-thirties and nearly 9 years into this “mom thing”, I have come to realize that the reason why the holidays were so special and magical to me is a child is because of my mom. She always went above and beyond to ensure that my brother and I had amazing Christmases – and she continues to do so today – for us, our spouses and our kids.

It’s because of my mom that I try to do the same for my own two girls. All of the planning, occasional freaking out and time spent is totally worth it when I see the joy in my kids eyes or hear their giggles when they run to their advent calendars, search for our magical elf and receive their Santa letters in the mail. And the songs…oh how I love listening to my kids butcher the words to Feliz Navidad (among others) when they are little – my 4 year old provides endless entertainment on that front this year. I LOVE it!

Speaking of songs, if you are a long-time Garth Brooks fan like I am, you are likely aware that he has released new music. Garth takes me back to my high school days, and my one regret after he went into retirement (for years!) was that I didn’t attend one of his concerts when I was able. I have been protecting and carting around my Garth Brooks Greatest Hits CD since 1996. ;-) Needless to say, I’m pretty giddy that he is performing and releasing new music again!

Speaking of new music, if you haven’t listened to the new Garth Brooks single “Mom” – take a quick listen here:

How sweet is this song?! I love it, I love his voice…love, love, love! In celebration of Garth Brooks’ brand new single, “Mom,” GhostTunes is offering one lucky mom and a guest the opportunity to see Garth in concert, complete with hotel and airfare. What I wouldn’t do to win this contents myself!

While I am long acquainted with Garth (ha!), I am new to GhostTunes, as you might be as well. GhostTunes is a full-service online music platform offering millions of songs, albums, products and creative bundles from artists across all genres — creating a gathering place for listeners, artists and the music that connects them. Founded by Garth Brooks, GhostTunes celebrates the personal connection between artists and listeners who live for and love their music. The GhostTunes platform gives fans the freedom to listen to purchased music on the device of their choice while providing artists with a new way to sell their music any way they dream. I had the opportunity to try out GhostTunes for myself tonight, and I’m currently sitting here listening to Garth songs as I write. Bliss!

I found the GhostTunes site easy to use, and I’m happy to have the freedom to listen to the albums that I purchased on all of my devices!

Be sure to check out the new Garth Brooks Album (plus more!) on GhostTunes on their website, FacebookInstagram, or Twitter.
