Over the past few weeks I have been sharing my experiences with the new Gold Emblem Abound product line at CVS/pharmacy. First I shared with you how I am using Gold Emblem Abound Peanut Butter and other items to pack lunches. Then I shared a bit about the Gold Emblem Abound Snacks that we have been eating on the go.

Today I wanted to talk a bit about some of the other products that my family got to try – Gold Emblem Abound Rice Crisps, Rice Thins and Oat Bran Cookies. I tend to have a major sweet tooth, but every now and then I crave something crunchy and salty. Of course chips are the first thing that come to mind when these cravings hit, but I really don’t like to keep chips in the house because they get eaten WAY too quickly. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Gold Emblem Abound Baked Rice Crisps (Barbeque or Sea Salt Flavored) are a great stand in for my favorite chips, and they have a fraction of the calories and fat. 20 crisps contain 130 calories, 2.5 grams of fat and less than 135 mg of sodium. The Gold Emblem Abound Sea Salt Flavored Rice Thins are very similar to the Rice Crisps. They are a little larger in shape and packaged differently, but I found the flavors to be almost identical.

I normally like to bake my own cookies from scratch, but I don’t always have the time. Plus when I bake my own, I end up consuming way more than I need to. We have been enjoying the Gold Emblem Abound Cranberry Oat Bran Cookies for snacks or even a quick breakfast (for super picky kiddos – don’t judge!). These cookies contain 3 grams of fiber for every 2 cookies, and 9 grams of sugar.

What I like about all of these snacks is that they are portable and safe to have on hand in a hot car (they won’t melt!). I like to keep a bag of snacks on hand in my van to cut down on trips through the drive thru, and these snacks have been in regular rotation in my snack bag since school started. (See: How I am Saving Money on Snacks for more ideas).

Gold Emblem Abound products contain no artificial preservatives or flavors and 0 grams of trans fat, and it’s super easy to run in to my local CVS/pharmacy store quickly to grab snacks that I feel good about giving to my family!
