kroger double fuel points weekends

Food prices are on the rise again this year, and I know that I’m always looking for ways to get the biggest bang for my buck. It has gotten increasingly difficult to meet my budget using coupons alone. That’s why I like to take advantage of programs like the Kroger Fuel Program.

If you are new to the Kroger Fuel Program, check out this great video, showcasing 4 Kroger shoppers and bloggers who use the program.

I’m already buying groceries and I have to buy gas, so taking advantage of this program is a no brainer to me!

Here are a few tips that I have to maximize your Kroger Fuel Points:

  • Take advantage of special Fuel Point offers such as this 2X Fuel Point Weekends promotion* – running now through July 27, 2014. Basically, you’ll earn 2X the Fuel Points when you shop on Friday, Saturday or Sunday – but you do have to add the digital coupon to your Kroger card each week to receive this bonus. (*some exclusions apply)
  • When you need gift cards during the holidays, for teacher gifts, home DIY projects, etc… head to Kroger and earn 2X the Fuel Points on your Gift Card purchases.
  • Be sure to explore info about all of the other ways that Kroger allows you to earn fuel points and participate in these programs. This includes pharmacy and the Kroger 1-2-3 Rewards Visa Card. Learn more here.

A best case scenario is to have earned the $1 off per gallon, and to fill up a completely empty car (up to 35 gallons). Those days make me really happy. :-)
