Frugal DIY Valentine’s Day Decor Ideas
A few years ago I snagged the 2 apothecary jars seen in the photo above for FREE. Since then, I have had fun experimenting each holiday or season with various vase fillers. You can see an example of how I fill them in the fall here. This past Christmas I filled them with small, sparkly red, gold and chocolate brown ornaments and pine cones and that combination was my favorite yet! (picture coming soon) Thank goodness for Pinterest (you can follow me here) – I get 99% of my home decorating inspiration there!
Needless to say, when it came time to put away my Christmas decorations, I was sad to see the sparkly ornaments go. THEN I found these great sparkly red hearts at Hobby Lobby. I thought they would look great with the vase filler that I purchased from Target (Target Threshold has great vase filler options – I’m addicted to this line of products!!) and I was right. It took a little bit of finagling, but I am super happy with how they turned out!
Typically, I use a green runner on my foyer table, but I thought it would clash with my Frugal DIY Valentine’s Day Decor, so I found this great Burlap Table Runner. I’m not sure why but I can’t stand a naked side table. You might say I’m obsessed with table runners….I have no idea why. You can check out my Easy DIY Valentine’s Day Heart Wreath – it is hanging on the mirror that is above this same foyer table. Once I have the table 100% complete I’ll be sure to share a photo! I’m still missing a few things – I just don’t know what quite yet. ;-)
I am also in the process of working on my Valentine’s Day mantel – so expect a photo of that soon at some point. I am doing something similar with the vase filler/sparkly hearts, but I’m also trying to incorporate white stem flowers (also Target Threshold) and a really cute Burlap Valentine’s Day Banner that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. It’s starting to come together!
Here are a few of my favorite Valentine’s Day Decor inspirations from around the web:

2. Rustic LOVE Letters Mantel Decor
3. Mason Jar and Scrabble Tile Valentine’s Day Decor
4. DIY Valentine’s Day Jar Candles
8. Valentine Art Work (super cute!)
9. Valentine Vase Sleeve (you can use old tights or socks!)
10. Tissue Paper Heart Suncatcher
Do you decorate your home for Valentine’s Day? What are you favorite decorations? Where do you find your inspiration?
