christmas sugar cookie recipe green stockings

One of my favorite holiday memories from my childhood is baking Christmas cookies with my mom and grandma at my grandparent’s house. Now that my girls are getting older, I try my best to get them involved in the holiday baking – in part to bring back those great memories, and to help fill the void that the loss of my grandma brought to my life.

I am fortunate enough to have all of my grandma’s cookie cutters and her rolling pin, and I treasure them! My girls and I are always coming up with fun new creations when we make sugar cookies. Today I thought I would share this recipe for Green Stocking Sugar Cookies. You could change things up and use different colored sprinkles – or red stockings would be really pretty as well! You are only limited by your imagination!

What are your favorite Christmas cookies? I would love to hear your suggestions!
