Stride Rite Summer Clearance + a Review

by Marcy on July 19, 2010 · 0 comments

Recently I was given the opportunity to review a pair of Stride Rite sandals for my 4 year old daughter. I have been a fan of Stride Rite for the past 3 years, and was happy to accept this offer. My 4 year old has always had a hard to fit foot – at times it seemed like her feet were taller than they were long! :-) When I realized (around the age of 1) that I needed to purchase wide shoes for her, I headed to Stride Rite. In addition to the variety of sizes (wide AND extra-wide!), I liked that Stride Rite has shoes for the various stages of walking.

In addition to a variety of sizes, Stride Rite offers a wide variety of styles and (in my opinion) great quality. I tend to spend a little more on certain children’s clothing items because I want them to last through more than one child – and I am confident that (provided they fit) my youngest daughter will be sporting hand me down Stride Rite shoes very soon.

For this review, I chose the Wendy sandal in brown and light gold. I had been having trouble finding brown sandals for my daughter and thought that these were perfect. They can be both dressy or casual based on what I dress my daughter in, and she absolutely loves them. (I think it is because the gold is a little shiny). In addition to the style, I also like that she is able to put them on herself, and that they fit her well.

Speaking of putting them on herself, I had to snap a picture of how she chose to “accessorize” them a couple of weeks ago! She was so proud of putting her whole outfit together (down to the shoes AND socks) that I didn’t have the heart to make her change – and yes, we did go to Kroger with her dressed like this – at least she matched! :-)

Right now you can find these sandals and more as part of the Summer Clearance Sale at Stride Rite. And if you shop online, you can also get FREE Shipping on your entire order through 7/21/10.
