Yet again, I’m excited to share that Kroger is running their Triple Coupon Promotion in select Ohio & West Virginia stores starting tomorrow (4/8) through Sunday, 4/11/10! Thanks so much to all of you who alerted me about this earlier in the week so that I knew to to confirm. :-)
Here is how the Kroger Triple Coupon Promo Works:
Coupons up to and including $0.50 will triple to $1.50. If your store doubles up to $0.99, coupons from $0.51-0.99 will continue to double. If your store does not double over $0.50 that will still be the case.
This promo runs Thursday (4/8) through Sunday (4/11). There is no limit on the number of coupons you can use, and internet printables WILL also triple provided they have unique serial numbers (which is almost always the case unless someone is making illegal copies).
As I mentioned, a large area of Ohio and a small part of WV is included in this promo. Cincinnati and Dayton stores are unfortunately *not* included. :-(
Here is partial list of stores that are participating. I can’t list every single city, but if your store is near one of those listed below it would be worth a trip to see if they are running triple coupons as well:
Ohio
* ALL Central Ohio Stores
* Mt. Vernon
* Marion
* Delaware
* Mansfield
* Chillicothe
* Circleville
* Sandusky
* Toledo
* Washington Court House
* Portsmouth
* Jackson
* Lancaster
* Bellefontaine
* Saint Clairsville
* Martins Ferry
* Bellaire
West Virginia
* Weirton
* Wheeling
* Moundsville
As always, please call ahead to your local store to confirm if they are participating. (If you store was one of the ones participating recently, they should be participating again). And if you live near the store, you may even have better luck stopping in to see for yourself.
I’ll do my best to list a few match ups for you, but in the meantime, please feel free to leave any great deals that you can come up with in the comments.
Now might also be a good time to start printing your coupons at Coupons.com, Smartsource.com, RedPlum.com, if you haven’t already!

My Puffs sample from Vocalpoint came in the mail yesterday. Inside, there were several $.50/1 Puffs plus lotion Qs. I’m not sure what the price is for Puffs at Kroger, but I’m guessing these coupons will make for free or nearly free tissues.
I called three Central Ohio Krogers and got three different responses.
Reynoldsburg Kroger (Taylor and Main) – Flat out no.
Gahanna Kroger (S. Hamilton) – Looked at the ad and said it wasn’t mentioned.
Gahanna Kroger (Stoneridge) – Yes.
They really need to better inform their customer service departments as to these sales. I’m fairly certain both Krogers that said no will be participating (they always do), but I’ll be taking my business to the Kroger that said yes just in case.
Erin,
The flyer I saw was not the same as the regular weekly ad, so maybe the store that said they looked in the ad and it wasn’t mentioned didn’t see that extra flyer. I saw it at the registers, and the cashier that checked me out that day was totally aware of it. There were extra flyers there at the bagging area for customers to take. Weird how the different stores are different. Anyway, on the back of this extra flyer, which also has some items shown with sale prices, it says in fine print that “sale prices are good at ALL central OH stores”, so I”m guessing that the triple coupons are also happening at ALL central OH stores. I don’t blame you, though, to shop at the one that verified it for you.
When I confirm it is with an actual rep for Kroger. She confirmed that the same stores that participated last time will be participating again.
Triple coupons will make the current Betty Crocker potato catalina even more of a moneymaker.
Buy 3 of the instant pouches (reg. priced at 1.29 in Central Ohio) and use 3 of the .25/1 coupons from the 3/28 SS. You’ll pay $1.62 OOP and get a $3 catalina back. Even if you only have 1 copy of the coupon the tripling will make the pouches just 4 cents each after catalina.
That sounds frustrating Erin. We are moving out to Reynoldsburg in May, I hope I get better customer service than you did over the phone.
I always go to the Kroger on Sunbury & 161 & they always have things in stock & have great customer service…even with 50+ Q’s & are very helpful with where extras are located
I think there is also a $.40/1 printable on coupons.com for the BC potatoes, and there is either a cellfire or shortcuts ecoupon too. I know I printed a couple of these, but I can’t remember when, so not sure if they are still available. I just loaded the ecoupon today, so I know that one is.
Emily – don’t forget that the ecoupon will not triple. They are only redeemed at face value.
The store in Findlay is participating (it was in The Courier this morning), and the one in Marion has each time before this but I haven’t called them to confirm that they are again this time.
Toledo Blade has an ad this morning (Thursday) about the deal

Kroger on Alexis Rd. in Toledo is participating. My shopping cart photo is in the Comment Luv link. Rules: Triple coupons up to 50 cents, 4 identical coupons per transaction.

I have a follow-up on Whitney’s Betty Crocker Potatoes Catalina deal:
Buy 1 pouch for $1.29. Use 1 $0.25 q. Earn $0.50 Catalina. Use the Catalina during the Triples (my Kroger doubles/triples Cats). So that’s $1.29 – $0.75 – $1.50 = they pay me $0.96 for each pouch.
I personally don’t eat instant mashed potatoes, but this is a deal I couldn’t pass up. My local food pantry will get the food and I’ll have a little more change in my pocket.
not a single store in my area (SW Ohio) is on that last. I wonder why it’s only certain parts of the state?

Jessica – from what I understand Kroger stores are divided into regions from a marketing/promotional standpoint – and not all stores in one state are in the same region. That is why Cincy & Dayton (for example) are not included in this promo…because those stores are in a different region than the Central OH (and other) stores listed in this post.
Amy – I never knew catalinas under $1 could triple. What store do you go to?
Emily – Great call on the Puffs with lotion. I got the same coupons from Vocalpoint and they are regularly priced at $1.59. Picked up 5 boxes for .09 each!
I made my trip this afternoon but didn’t really get any great deals other than the Betty Crocker potatoes (which will be donated to the food pantry by our household, too – my son is deathly allergic to dairy). None of the deals from two weeks ago were repeated that I could see, other than the Dole canned fruit.
Triple coupons are an extra great time to check the dented cans shelf if your Kroger has one. I picked up some other free items after the manager markdowns.
Whitney, I shop in Marion. I’ve noticed that Kroger’s Cats start with a 5 most generally so they D/T. But if you also shop at Meijer, their Cats start with a 9 even when both stores are running the same promotion, so no doubling Meijer’s Cats.
Oooh, I’ll have to look to see if I have any Kroger cats. I would have never thought that they would double or triple.
Anyone know where I can find more information on the Marietta, OH/Parkersburg WV market? I had trouble yesterday with the Betty Crocker catalina in Marietta and was told it was because they are in a different market. I’ve done some searching online and have come up empty. Most information is for the Columbus & Cinci areas.
Nicole – have you tried contacting Kroger through their form on Kroger.com. I’m sorry I don’t have better info for you. :-(
Thanks so much to all of you for sharing deal ideas/info. I also scored the cheap Puffs yesterday…great timing b/c we were out due to my recent sinus infection!
