Mercedes wrote about this great deal at Walgreens yesterday and I wanted to be sure to share it with you:

John Frieda Root Awakening Hair products – $5.99-6.99/ea (may vary)
Use $5/2 here
Use $3/1 Walgreens coupon here ($6 off wyb 2)
Final Price = $0.49-1.49/ea when you buy 2

Also, when you spend $25, you will get $5 back in Register Rewards, which makes this an even sweeter deal.

Thanks, Common Sense with Money!

Thanks so much for sharing this awesome post. I posted this deal to my blog as well with the link back to your site. I went tonight and done this deal. I was able to get 6 bottles for free. When you spend $25 you get $5 back and my final price ended up only being .50 each.

AC – yes, you should be able to print that doc and use the Walgreens coupons.

Ann – thanks for the info on the RR. I’ll update my post. :-)

Oh, I did this deal tonight and even though I came out saving a bunch, I just realized the cashier entered my IVC manually as a manuf. coupon so I paid more OOP (I bought 4 items so the $3 IVC coupon only went in once to the transaction). Darn! But she did give me the 15% discount for the second transaction and was so nice. She handed me a bunch of coupons for other things I was buying. and let me split trasactions to get the $5 walgreens bucks each time. Well, lost some $saved on this deal, but gained a nice cashier that I’ll be sure to go to next time (but will make sure she rings my IVCs right…)

Subtotal came to .01 once I used RRs so I can’t complain. Just don’t have those RRs to use next time.

I did this deal twice today. But I forgot to use -15% coupon. Can you believe it? I am a little bit angry at myself. But I just started Walgreens deals couple weeks ago, I’m still learning. And I’m sure I’ll remember next time!

I just had to post! For the past couple weeks, I have been following your blog as well as some others. I would never be able to find these deals by myself! I got the best deal at Walgreens tonight, I just had to share!

I got 4 bottles of John Freida at $6.49 ea (I already bought 2 yesterday and got a great deal but got an even better deal today!). After the 15% they were $5.52 per bottle, then after my manuf. coupons and Walgreens coupons, it came out to be $0.08 for all four bottles!! (BEFORE tax of course.) How amazing is that! I also bought 2 bottles of All laundry detergent (had a rain check) and got the 15% off those, so paid $0.97 each for those (before taxes). The only coupon that they took 15% off was my Altoid $0.99 Walgreens coupon (only gave me $0.70 off) but everything else was the full value of the coupons. I also got the Viva 6-pack Paper Towels $6.99 – 15% and all coupons for $1.94. I used a $5 RR to pay and only paid $3.49 (mostly tax) OOP!!!! Am I way too excited or what?

Thanks so so much for all your hard work, I love reading your blog!

What is the 15% off coupon everyone is talking about? Where is this located and for what dates?

8 Marcy December 22, 2009 at 10:36 AM

Bonnie – the 15% off coupon was valid for 1 or 2 days only and is now expired.
