I have shopped at Kroger for many years, but I learned something new recently – Kroger has a Personal Finance division, and they offer pet insurance. Who knew?
For as little as $9.95 per month, you can purchase a pet insurance policy that will cover your cat or dog in the event of an accident. Kroger offers a variety of plans ranging from $9.95-79.00 depending on the amount of coverage you would like, and how many pets you have.
Please note that this insurance is available to everyone online (you do not have to have a Kroger store in your area) and at most Kroger and Kroger Family of stores. You can learn more about rates and coverage and how to purchase this insurance at www.krogerpets.com.
Kroger has kindly given me one $25 Kroger gift card to give away to one of you, so that you can pamper your own pet(s)!
What am I giving away?
1 reader will receive a $25 Kroger gift card, to pamper their pet(s) or to use for whatever they would like

Hi. I love your blog and have saved a lot of time, money and frustration with your match-ups. This is my first time posting.
My 12 yr. old Jack Russell Terrier started hobbling about a week ago. I was horified to discover she needed surgery on her left hip, but what brought me to tears was learning that she would need surgery on both hips!
The hip she had been getting around on (her right hip) was actually dislocated and had been for years. We had her x-rayed twice because we did not believe it. Evidently when she broke her right leg as a puppy (she was an adoptee), her leg/hip never set correctly. The vets had never seen “such a trooper” before.
My animals are my children and nothing is too good for them. I am happy to report she came out of her first surgery this morning and will be coming home tomorrow for a very long recovery.
What are my pets getting for Christmas? My Jack Russell Terrier at 12 yrs. old is getting 2 new hips at $ 1400 each and my Border Collie and cat (also rescues) are getting back their playmate. My husband and I cancelled a trip and are making cuts elsewhere. Our Christmas gift will be having her another several years.
Please spend whatever it takes to save your pet. They give us unconditional love and you simply can’t put a price on that! Happy Holidays and please SPOIL YOUR PETS!
I don’t buy my pets gifts.

My two bassets (Luci & Flash) get new toys and new dog beds every Christmas but they also get gift cards from other family members to the Pet Stores to pick out what they want. Since I don’t have kids they buy for my dogs because they say it’s only fair. So needless to say they are spoiled and come home with lots of stuff at the holiday, but they also give back to the basset rescue. We donate toys, food, collars, & leashes every year with what they get becuase they will never use it all.
