Menu Plan Monday: 8/24/09

This week I am excited to be heading to Minneapolis for two days to visit the General Mills Headquarters/Test Kitchens with a group of my fellow bloggers. While I am gone, my mom and husband will be holding down the fort, so I thought I would be nice and figure out a way to feed them while I am gone. I’ll be busting out the crock pot Wednesday morning before my flight, and that should make enough food to feed them for at least two meals. And if all else fails there is always frozen pizza & chicken fingers, right? :-)

Here is the plan:

Monday – Cheese Tortellini w/Garden Marinara Sauce, Garlic Bread, Salad

Tuesday – Honey Mustard and Bacon Smothered Chicken (from Southern Living: Busy Moms Weeknight Favorites), & Green Beans from the garden

Wednesday – Beef Roast in the Crockpot w/Baby Carrots and Potatoes

Thursday – Leftovers

Friday – Eat Out/Pizza

Saturday – L -Raid the freezer or sandwiches/pretzels/fruit
D – Tacos & Refried Beans

Sunday – L -Taco Salad/Leftovers
D – Grilled Chicken & Corn on the Cob
