Babies R Us – Price Match & Rewards Programs

by Marcy on January 27, 2009 · 2 comments

A new Babies R Us coupon booklet found its way to my mailbox this afternoon, and I wanted to share some new (at least to me!) info with you.

According to the ad, Babies R Us (and Toys R Us) are now Price Matching the following items (in store only): car seats, strollers, travel systems, high chairs, play yards, swings, bouncers, bassinets, and entertainers.

All that you have to do is take in a valid and dated competitor ad and the price will be matched. It sounds like they will also adjust the price of any product you buy there within 14 days if you find a better price. Please note that if you have coupons, they will apply your coupon to the Babies/Toys R Us price before considering a price match.

In addition, did you know that Babies/Toys R Us has a Rewards Program? My friend Karen mentioned it to me awhile back, and I just read more at Deal Seeking Mom last week.

Membership Benefits Include:

* Earn $5 for every $150 purchased online or in-store during select promotional periods

* Receive 1 Free Pampers Value Box (72 ct. – 252 ct.) when 9 Pampers Value Boxes are purchased

* Recall Notification

* Members Only Shopping Nights and Discounts

Registering entitles you to a one-time FREE online shipping offer as well. You can get more info and enroll here or in stores.

Finally, get a free $15 gift card with purchase of select Pampers/Bounty/Dreft/Tide/Charmin Products through 3/4. Read more here.

I agree Julia. I actually received my rewards the day AFTER they expired. I called as soon as I received them and the BBRU rep explained their policy of not extending the date nor accepting expired coupons…period. End of story.
I actually signed up for this the very day that it started. I signed up in store, which I found out, just like when I registered have different rewards…i.e. No free shipping offer.
Also, for anyone registering…do your research online, but DO NOT start your registry online. You miss out on lots of goodies that way. I missed out on the gift box/bag with coupons and trial size products, the 10% off coupon for everything left on your registry that was not purchased, etc., even though I went to the store and made selections for the registry, since I started it online, boy did I miss out! A friend registered in store first and told me all that I missed, so I went into the store to ask about it and the lady at the registry desk said “oh…that’s the difference between registering online and in store”. She did give me a “leftover” box of “goodies”, but was not able to get the 10% off coupon. Customer service would not help with that either.

You still get the 10% off coupon if you dont register in store, you just dont get the goodies. Corporate mails out the coupon to all who are on the baby registry about 2 weeks before the due date whether you registered in store or online.
