Super Savings Saturday Continued…

I ended up running to Kroger tonight to pick up a few of the freebies that I posted about earlier in the week. After I got home and looked at my receipt, I realized that I scored quite a few free items this week between Kroger and CVS.

Here is a picture of my free (after coupons) items, less 2 boxes of Green Giant Frozen Vegetables that I forgot to put in the picture:

The Excedrin was from CVS, and all of the other items were from Kroger. My best deal was the Pantene Anti Frizz serum – it was regularly $5.59, but I got it for free by loading a coupon on to my Kroger Plus card here. You can read about how I scored the other items for free in my post here.

Some of the other great deals I scored at Kroger:

* Pampers Training Pants – on sale for $9.99, I used a $2/1 coupon and loaded a $1.50/1 coupon on to my Kroger Plus card here. Final Price = $6.49/ea

* Green Giant Frozen Vegetables – on sale for $1/ea; I used several $0.25/1 and $0.50/2 coupons and got these for $0.50/ea

* Puffs tissues were on sale for $1/ea. I used a $0.25/1 coupon and got these for $0.50/ea

My Kroger was out of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers which were on sale for $1/ea. I ended up getting a rain check and will pick those up next week as this is the lowest price I have seen on Goldfish crackers in quite awhile.

In total I spent $53.42 at Kroger and used $23.59 in coupons. I ended up spending approx. $129 this week on groceries/household items and saved $58 using coupons.

You can read part one of my Super Savings Saturday post here.
