My Wal-Mart Trip Today…

Today I decided to make a trip to Wal-Mart (ugh) because my friend “K” mentioned that she found packs of kids socks, tanks, and underwear on clearance for $1.75-$2. I also wanted to check out the sale they are having on school supplies.

I spent a total of $13.54 for the items pictured above. Here is a breakdown:

* Crayola Crayons (24 pack – NOT Washable) – $0.22/ea
* Elmer’s Glue Sticks (2 pack) – $0.22/ea
* Crayola Colored Pencils (12 pack) – $0.84/ea
* Pencil Sharpener – $0.84/ea
* 6 Packs of Hanes Socks (turn cuff and ankle) – $1.75/ea
* 3 Pack Hanes Cami’s (girls) – $2/ea
* 4 pack Fruit of the Loom underwear (girls) – $2/ea
* George brand Tank Top – $3/ea

I’m not sure if the clearance on kids underthings is chain wide or not, but it is worth checking out if you happen to be going to Wal-Mart. They didn’t have a lot left at the store I went to, but there was some variety of both boys and girls stuff. Some of the items were ticketed $4.00, but rang up as $2.

And as for the school supplies, I have a toddler, but figured we can always use cheap art supplies, stocking stuffers, and gift fillers. Just be careful when checking out to make sure that everything rings up correctly… I actually have to take 2 items back that were supposed to ring up as $0.84/ea but rang up as $2.97 instead.

Also note that the Crayola products that are marked way down are not washable.
