How NOT to be like me:
1) Don’t accidentally overdraw your checking account because you weren’t paying attention to which account you transferred funds to before paying your credit card bill. Cost to me: $27.00
2) Don’t check too many books out of the library and end up paying fines because you didn’t get them back on time (because you know I had to read them before I took them back!). Cost to me: $8.40
3) Don’t sign up for a 5k and then not train for it. Or check to see if they allow strollers (they don’t). Now I won’t even being walking in it. Cost to me: $15.00
Total money wasted by me this week: $50.40. Ugh.
On the bright side, I listed a few things on Craigslist yesterday (my first time), and I have already sold $41 worth of stuff. And I am getting close to getting my first Google AdSense check. While it would have been nice to have that money as “extra”, at least I’ll be able to recoup the money I wasted.
Another bright spot in my day was the arrival of my new dishwasher! After 2 weeks of hand washing I fully realize how spoiled I am and won’t be taking my dishwasher for granted for a very long time.
Today I have been working on a longer term financial plan to get us into a new (to us) house in 3 years. I’m hoping that putting this plan in writing will give us a road map to follow, and to show is that our goal is possible if we stick to the plan.
I wish I could offer up something helpful today, but that’s all that I have. Hopefully I get my Giant Eagle deals posted sometime this evening or tomorrow.
I hope that you all have a great weekend! Thanks for listening to me grumble. :)
