Easter Traditions

I was very blessed to grow up with a lot of great family traditions around the holidays, and Easter was no exception. One that has stuck with both my brother and me is making a bunny cake (like the one in the picture above) every year…even when we had no kids!
I am really excited to make one this year because my daughter will have a better idea of what is going on. And it will be fun to share a little piece of my childhood with her. :)
In addition to the bunny cake, Easter Sunday was also filled with sunrise service/breakfast at church, an egg hunt at home (with eggs full of candy or loose change), searching for our Easter baskets, back to church for Sunday school and another service, and then sitting down to a great meal. All of which was usually followed by a nap!
This weekend we will be going to church, eating yummy food and doing fun things with our daughter (her first egg hunt, Easter basket, and of course cake!).
Whatever you have planned this weekend (Easter related or not), I hope that you have a wonderful and blessed weekend!
I’ll be back on Monday with my weekly menu plan and Kroger deals for the week.
