Frugal Fridays

Crystal asked this week what simple things we have eliminated from our budget. Here are a few things that I have eliminated, and what I use in place of them:
1) I make my own spaghetti sauce (recipe here) rather than buying it in the store
2) Like Crystal, I use soap instead of shave gel when shaving my legs
3) I use grocery bags in my bathroom trash cans rather than buying special bags
4) I use full strength hand soap (refills) diluted with water in my foaming hand soap dispensers
5) I typically make cake, brownies, muffins and cookies from scratch rather than buying expensive mixes
6) I try to use child sized wash cloths to clean DD up after meals rather than using paper towels
7) I am going to try using vinegar & baking soda for more of my cleaning so that I can cut back on the number of cleaning products that I am buying
For lots of great tips, check out Crystal’s post here.
