Stretching a Buck Blog Author Marcy Robison – About Me
After 7 years of climbing the corporate ladder as an IT professional, I left my job in late 2006 to become a stay at home mom. With my job went nearly 50% of our household income and a new obsession was born – learning how to live well on less.
I turned to the web for ideas on how to accomplish this, and stumbled upon the world of money saving blogs. One thing led to another and on January 1, 2008, I started Stretching a Buck. I used an anonymous name and started sharing stories about how my family was finding ways to save. In the 4 years since, Stretching a Buck has blossomed into a blog dedicated to helping you and your family save money. And as you have likely gathered, I no longer hide behind an anonymous name! It is here that you will find weekly sale and coupon match ups for a variety of grocery, drug and super stores, as well as freebies, online deals, printable coupons, general money saving advice and much more.
I firmly believe that it is possible to live well on less, and this blog is my way of sharing some of the tips I have learned on my quest to become a wiser steward of our family finances. I know that your time is valuable, and I strive to offer deals that are both worthwhile and legit. In fact – most of the deals and offers that I post are deals that I myself take advantage of. I also strive to stick to deals that are not overly complicated, and that the majority of my readers can benefit from. If you have to jump through hoops to do it, you aren’t going to find it on this site!
I am a proud graduate of both Ohio University (BBA in Management Information Systems) and Otterbein University (MBA), and I am thrilled to be utilizing both my professional and life experiences to run this business from my home. I honestly could not have dreamed of having a more fulfilling or family friendly job, and I count my blessings everyday that I am able to do this.
I look forward to hearing from you!
