Tis the season for shopping, and I don’t know about you, but I have been doing a WHOLE lot of it the past few weeks. I can typically get by with doing a lot of my shopping online, so that limits my in store shopping to once or twice per week. But right now I am running out to the stores frequently – in part because I love looking at all of the holiday merchandise in person, and in part because I keep forgetting things! ;-)

If you have read here for awhile you know that I love clipping my coupons, but when life is super crazy I tend to slack off on that a bit. To make myself feel better, I turn to mobile app savings. I love that I can clip offers when I am waiting in line at the grocery store, sitting in the parking lot waiting for one of my daughter’s class to start, or when I am walking home from the bus stop after getting the kids off to school. Mobile coupon savings are no brainers to me – they are the epitome of the saying: work smarter, not harder!

This week I needed to make a quick run to Walmart to pick up some holiday gifts, baking supplies and snacks. I decided to check the CurrentC App to see if they had any offers available at Walmart that I could use. (See my CurrentC “how to” post HERE). I was excited to find coupons for several items that were on my list, as you can see below:

We had fun family time planned this weekend: Star Wars Episode IV with our girls for the first time on Saturday night (hello, popcorn!), some serious gingerbread house construction, and of course, driving around to see holiday lights (with more snacks!).

I also needed to finish up some Christmas gift shopping, so I loaded my cart up at Walmart (I took this picture before I was done)!

All of this extra shopping can put  stress on a budget, so it’s nice to have access to savings that I don’t have to jump through hoops to get.

In addition to coupon offers, I can use the FREE CurrentC App to pay for my purchases via my checking account or gift card(s). I have already received a few gift cards as gifts, and as soon as I receive them I load them to my CurrentC wallet (if they are a participating store). Loading my holiday gift cards in to the CurrentC app means that I don’t have to carry around or keep track of a stack of gift cards, nor do I have to kick myself ever again for leaving my gift cards at home. I always have my cell phone with me, and thanks to CurrentC, I always have my gift card balances available too!

As an added bonus, I have also loaded all of my loyalty card info into the CurrentC app, so I don’t have to worry about showing those when shopping either.

In a nutshell: I can use the CurrentC app to clip coupon offers, redeem/earn my loyalty rewards at my favorite stores AND pay for my purchases, all in ONE step.

And that is music to my tired, busy mama ears!!

Right now CurrentC is available in the Columbus, OH market at participating retailers. In addition to Walmart, you can use the Current C app at Target, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Sears, Kmart, Exxon, Mobil, Shell, CVS, Wendy’s, Giant Eagle, and Market District. If you live outside of the Columbus, OH area, you cannot yet use CurrentC, but keep an eye out for signage like this at your local stores as coverage expands:

I personally have been using CurrentC at Walmart, Target, CVS, Giant Eagle and Wendy’s and love it!

Are you using the CurrentC App yet? What do you think?!
