We go through a lot of plastic straws in our house, so I was intrigued when I was given the opportunity to review glass straws from Strawesome. Glass straws? I truly didn’t know what to expect.

Strawesome was founded in 2009 and is a family-owned company located in Michigan. They offer fun, safe reusable glass drinking straws with the intent of reducing the use of non-biodegradable plastics being dumped in landfills every day.

Strawesome glass straws are hand-made in Michigan of borosilicate glass – which is toxin and BPA free and extremely durable. This glass is both dishwasher and microwave safe, and Strawesome is so confident in this product that they offer free replacement if your straw(s) break, AND a money back guarantee if you aren’t satisfied with your purchase.

I received an assortment of straws to try, and while I was a little skeptical at first, I really do like them! I like the variety of colors and designs – it is easy to designate one straw per family member – and I’ll even consider sending these to school in my first grader’s lunch box. In the long run I can see these saving my family money. The fact that they are dishwasher safe is icing on the cake!
