Coupons and perks from Office Max and Staples can make buying school supplies so inexpensive. Takes time to weed through the best sales but it is so worth it. Save so much money doing this every year.
I start watching for the sales early and match those with the coupons throughout the summer months.
I watch the ads in the few months leading up to back to school to score good deals through the year to stock up.
I already like you on FB.
The state has a tax free period for certain school items (clothing and pencils and paper, etc) and I also use coupons for that time for the stores as well.

Shop the clearance racks! I just got a bunch of nice back to school clothes from the Target clearance racks.
I buy back-to-school clothes during tax free shopping days and combine those savings with coupons and promotions. I also start buying school supplies far in advance, any time there is a special promotion (usually at least a month before school starts).

My tip is tax free weekend!! I price match randomly when I see really good deals and get the rest tax free!
I shop online to find the best deals, print them out and then hit all the stores in one day. With two kids in elementary and one starting middle school this year, I need all the help I can get! Stores like Kmart, target and walmart will honor the less expensive ads for the same product and coupons too!
I use coupons and find the best values at our local Walmart.

Shopthroughout the year when things you know you need are on sale, like notebooks, pencils, etc. For the other things, shop in July…it’s usually the best deal then and there is a good selection left.
I use the coupons for store like Office Max/Staples/Walmart. Everybit helps!
I stockpile when things are dirt cheap, checking the ads, use simple math low prices now on
supplies!
I use places like SHop At Home or Ebates to save money during back to school shopping.
I subscribe to your feed, love it.
I never just go out and buy everything in one store. I know some people take the school supply list and just buy everything in one shopping trip. I like to make it fun…I know what I want to pay for items on the list and when I see the price I want to pay, I take a list and pick up only the items on sale. Everything eventually goes on sale.

My best back to school saving tip, is to not only to use coupons, but visit stores and compare prices to see which is cheaper.
I am a school teacher so I take advantage of teacher discounts and perks. At Staples, a teacher can not only take advantage of their sales on school supplies, some for just one cent, but they can purchase 25 items at the reduced price rather than the 5 item limit with $5 purchase.
Go through all your old notebooks and neatly tear off the unused pages. You can now use these pages as loose leaf :)

For younger kids, buy the supplies pre-packaged from the school organization who does them. Sure, there are great sales to get them in store, but the pre-K through 2 lists are often loaded with specialty items (like the elusive “story tablet” ???) that have you burning through gas searching everywhere usually finding the wrong one.

I like Stretching a Buck on FB! Thanks for all the back to school deals!
I love saving money with coupons…
Tip: Get organized so you are only buying what you need. Even the deals at one cent or something clutter up your life if you don’t need them!
Matching coupons to sales.
I purchase school supplies all year long if they are free or almost free. When I went through my stash this weekend, I had almost everything I needed!
I buy supplies throughout the year when they are clearanced or a really cheap sale !
I bought some clearance school supply items from last year’s end of season sale.

I keep an eye out for office supply stores and walmart to out on doorbuster sales and only buy those things.
I turn in ink cartridges to Staples to get Staples Rewards. You are able to turn in 10 a month for $2 (I think it might be higher if they are HP) I have family save their cartridges for me & I turn them in in May so I get my rewards to use in July or August. Last year I had $40 to spend!
I buy any new Backpacks at Officemax since they typically have a reward program so it only cost a penny (& then I have more money to use for supplies) & if there is anything else I need after those 2 trips I hit up Walmart.

My kids are preschool or younger, so I haven’t contended with school shopping yet. But I do pick up home art supplies on deals from clearances or dollar bins a lot. And it’s not always the stores you expect to have the best deals, so keeping your eyes open is important.
I like you on facebook.
Mine will be geared towards college/graduate school. I pull up websites to all of the college textbook stores in town, amazon, barnes and nobles, and a shopping comparison site and make a little spreadsheet comparing the used and new text book prices among them all, I can save more by buying books from a few different stores than just buying from one place.
Buy supplies on clearance throughout the year for the next year.

Shopping for back-to-school item clearance at Target every year helps me prepared for the next year. Also, i love to shop at Office depot using rebates and use up that rebate to buy printer ink at a later point.

my tip is always buy 1 extra of each supply if you can. That why you have the extra you’ll need for the year, plus if you don’t use them then you have a head start for the following year.
