Stretching a Buck Facebook Feed: Where did it go?

by Marcy on February 16, 2011 · 0 comments

I am a shameless Facebook addict, I won’t lie. I check Facebook on my phone almost obsessively, and about a week or so ago I started to wonder why I was seeing less updates from my friends. I wondered if the allure of posting tidbits of their daily lives was wearing thin…or if something was wrong with my Facebook phone application.

It turns out that the real issue was that Facebook made a change to our settings (yet again) that defaults your News Feed updates to “Friends and pages you interact with most”. That means that you might be missing out on lots of status updates in your News Feed – including the posts that I make on the Stretching a Buck Facebook Page. Because a lot of the information I post there is time sensitive, I thought you might be interested in learning how to fix this issue if you have been missing out on my posts.

First, scroll to the very bottom of your News Feed Page to “Edit Options”:

Click on “Edit Options”, and you’ll see this:

My account was set to “Friends and pages you interact with most”. I had to select “All of your friends and pages” in order to view all of my friends’ statuses again. Whew!

And just in case you were like me and couldn’t figure out how to view the most recent status updates, it turns out there is an option (in plain view, LOL) in the top right corner of your News Feed Page:

Select “Most Recent” and your News Feed items will display in order of most recent again – something I was very happy to figure out!

If you aren’t a fan of Stretching a Buck on Facebook yet, what are you waiting for? I love to interact with readers over there, plus I am better able to highlight deals that will expire quickly and provide other updates easily. Check it out and become a “liker” here.

Did you know that Facebook is a great place to find product coupons and freebies? See what deals I have found here.
