Ohio Readers: COSI Open on President’s Day + a Giveaway

by Marcy on February 20, 2011 · 92 comments

If you live in the Central Ohio region and are looking for something to do with the kids tomorrow for President’s Day, COSI has some great exhibits to take the kids to!

Now through May 8, 2011, the Geckos: Tails to Toepads exhibit allows you to see what it is like to be a gecko. In addition to hands on exhibits, your kids will also get the chance to experience Gecko night vision and build a custom gecko, while learning about their habitats and biology. My daughter has been begging to go to COSI all winter, and we can’t wait to take her to this exhibit – free with regular COSI admission.

Another fun thing to check out while at COSI is Mysteries of the Great Lakes – currently playing on COSI’s extreme screen (IMAX). Learn about woodland caribou, the Bald Eagle and lake sturgeon, plus several mysteries including the lake sturgeon, which is the largest freshwater fish in the world and pre-dates dinosaurs. Tickets are $6 with COSI admission or $7.50 for just the movie.

I am thrilled that COSI has given me tickets to give away to 2 lucky winners, so that you can enjoy a day there with your family, checking out these and other great exhibits!

What am I giving away?

2 winners will receive a 4 pack of tickets to COSI!

I use to go to COSI every year with girl scouts, and always had a blast. I would love to take my boys and be able to show them a part of my childhood that I loved. I have not been there since then and would love to see the changes myself as well.

57 Misty February 20, 2011 at 7:58 PM

My oldest has been to the cosi on wheels at his school and is fascinated with science. I really think he would enjoy love to be able to go somewhere that he can have hands on experiences. And, my youngest would love the geckos exhibit. He loves anything that has to do with reptiles.
