Hi,

The tortilla chips and salsa deal…can’t you use the salsa coupon to save money if the salsa is free after you buy 2 bags of tortilla chips?

2 Marcy January 30, 2011 at 3:54 PM

Some stores will allow you to use the coupon on the salsa, and some won’t. It doesn’t hurt to try. :-)

3 Wendi Sisson January 30, 2011 at 5:02 PM

Thanks for the matchups! I think the 1st 2 juicy juice links go to the same coupon, which is $2/4. Is there a way to get a $1/2 also?

5 Aleta January 31, 2011 at 12:47 PM

I’m new here. Can you tell me what SS and RP inserts are?

6 Marcy January 31, 2011 at 2:22 PM

Aleta – SS = Smart Source and RP = Red Plum
I really need to create an abbreviation guide one of these days! Both of these inserts can be found in the Sunday newspaper – you’ll find the names at the top of the insert. Hope that helps & please let me know if you have any other questions!

7 Marcy January 31, 2011 at 2:24 PM

Wendi – did you click through on both coupons? I was able to print both the $2/4 and the $1/2. It looks the same up front but when you actually get to the coupon they are different. Let me know!

Hi, I live in the North Dallas area and I was in “The Colony” Target today and found packaged lettuce ( 3 different varieties ) on special for .50 cents.
All of the packaged mixes were $5 /2. but the Dole brand 6 oz bags were .50 cents while supplies last. I have no idea if this was exclusive to this store or
all locations. Sorry. Also, they were in very good shape, still fresh looking, no brown wilted pieces.

9 Diana February 3, 2011 at 10:12 PM

I am new at couponing, so please forgive my dumb questiong.

When you suggest using 2 of the same coupon from the SS insert, are you buying more than 1 Sunday newspaper to get these coupons? If I am serious about couponing, how many Sunday papers do you suggest I get?

10 Marcy February 4, 2011 at 7:07 AM

Diana – I have a Sunday paper subscription, so I check the inserts first thing Sunday morning. If I see that there are great coupons for products that I use and know that I can get a good price on, I’ll run to a local store (Discount Drug Mart if you are in the Central OH area) and pick up 5 extra papers for $0.99/ea. I typically only do this 4 or 5 times a year, but everyone is different. I also limit myself to 6 total papers at a time b/c it does take time to clip and organize the coupons. It really is all about finding what works best for you and your family. I plan on re-running my Coupon 101 series in the next couple of weeks with some updated info, but for now you can check it out here: http://www.stretchingabuckblog.com/category/all-about-couponing-series
