Walmart: Thanksgiving & Black Friday Deals + Price Matching!

I received a press release yesterday announcing that Walmart is going to be hosting Three Days of Holiday Savings this week. In addition to offering lots of sales and deals, Walmart will price match any other retailers Black Friday prices as long as you take the ad with you to the check out lane – provided the items are identical.

Here is a schedule of what is going to take place, plus a few deals. Note that I am working from a press release and not the actual ad – so prices may vary!

Day 1: Thanksgiving Day (11/25/10) – Online Only Specials (nearly 150 items)

  • Acer Purple Netbook Bundle (includes case and flash drive) – $248
  • Kodak M530 Camera Bundle (includes case and 4GB memory card) – $79
  • Nintendo DSi Bundle (includes choice of two games and accessory kit) – $169
  • Ematic 2GB MP3 player in multiple colors – $20

Day 2: Black Friday (11/26/10) – In-Store All Night “Open House” and 5am Electronics Event

The majority of Walmart stores will be open 24 hours on Thanksgiving Day with in-store specials kicking off at midnight and 5 AM. Walmart will be providing snacks to customers starting at midnight (including energy bars :-)). Here is a sampling of what to expect.

Midnight Savings available in store, while supplies last:

  • Over 60 Blu-ray titles including The Dark Knight and Superbad – $5

Santa’s Helpers will also be at many Walmart locations handing out candy canes on Saturday.

can anybody verify the $199 wii deal with $50 gift card, starting at midnight?

my local ad (online) looks to be $249 and the sale on it seems to be 5 am, and not 12 am as listed above.

does it vary by region???
