Groupon Daily Deals (9/16/10): Gallery-Wrapped Canvas, Wine & More

As you may or may not know, September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Recently, a family in the Washington, DC area lost their young son to cancer (you can read their story here). When I was asked if I would be willing to help raise money to support their efforts to fight against pediatric cancer, I felt it was the least I can do. As the mother of two young children I can’t imagine what this family and others like them go through when a young one is diagnosed with cancer.

This week (through Friday) whenever you use the links provided in the Groupon posts on Stretching a Buck to buy your Groupons (or to sign up), 8% of your purchase will go to the Declan Carmical Fund. This money will help Declan’s family support their efforts to fight pediatric cancer.

If you didn’t take advantage of the great offer on a Gallery-Wrapped Canvas last week, good news!  It is back in Columbus’s deal of the day.  For just $45 you can get a photo turned into a professional canvas print (16 x 20) and it includes shipping and handling.  This normally costs $126.95 and would make a great Christmas present.

Wine Insider’s Online Store is back with their great deal on wine.  Akron/Canton‘s deal for the day is $75 worth of wine for just $25. They have lots of options around $10 a bottle.  The way I figure it, you could get 6 bottles of wine, plus shipping for just $25, or less than $5 a bottle.

You can get $50 worth of toys from Brighter Beginnings for just $20 through the North Jersey Groupon today.  They have a huge selection of educational toys.

If you are in the Dayton area you can get a 26 week Thursday and Sunday subscription to the “Dayton Daily News” for just $24.  This is a great way to get the coupon inserts for very cheap.  New subscribers only.

Please note that you can purchase deals in any city. Just be sure to read the fine print to see if the in-store Groupons are limited to a specific store. Online deals tend to be available all over the country – for example, you can buy The Nutty Guys Groupon in any city and use it for yourself because it is for their website. Leave a comment if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to help!
