we just had a little girl…when we brought her home we told our 2 yr old daughter that she would be in charge of caden’s feet…gave her something to feel special about and we dont have to worry as much about spreading germs by touching hands!

I am the mother of a 16 month old and have one on the way. All I can say is that my best advice is "when you feel yourself losing it for any reason, put your baby in their crib, close the door and give yourself a break for a few min. maybe have a cup of coffee or tea, then go get your kid and try again." It is good for both you and your baby.

My parenting tip would be.. don’t be too hard on yourself! I tend to compare myself to other parents and nit pick every little thing that I’m not doing “right” as a mom. But the truth is as long as my daughter is loved and her needs are being met then I am doing my job!

I always make a point to have a positive attitude when around the kids. I know she may be 2, but she is learning so much from me. Even my attitude. I just want her to be a sweet child not a terror!

Remember the baby is never crying for “no reason”. Make sure the baby is not wet, hungry, hot, cold, or just in need of some cuddle time when he/she is crying. You can not spoil your baby by tending to its needs. So relax and enjoy this very special time because it goes incredibly fast. Take lots of pics, too. :-) Congratulations!

When splitting a cookie between siblings, let one break the cookie and the other gets to choose their piece first. You will be amazed how exact they can break the cookie and there is no complaining about one getting a bigger piece!!!
