My Target in MN gave me the 5 cent rebate for bringing my own bag, which I always do! So yeah for them doing that! I went on Friday, and they were all out of the free tote bags with the M & M’s though, so that was a bummer. But I still got the M & M’s anyway.

There is a big difference in shopping experience depending on the cashier. I have bought the same type items with the same type of coupons and the cashier was like, “Way to go!” and practically high fiving me. And then the same deal I walk away after lots of time and debating feeling like I took money out of the cashier’s pocket…Why do they care when they are being reinbursed 100%??? Don’t they want return customers and happy customers? I almost always end up buying a few things that I don’t have coupons for.

I used the Crystal Light coupon for the $0.68 product. She took it, but it was an issue. Did the Fancy Feast deal, and it was an issue…but instead of the cashier’s supervisor saying “OK”, he had me pick up 2 more for a total of 4! I really wasn’t sure how 2 B1G1 Qs would work, but I certainly didn’t expect him to say, “No, you have to get 4 instead of the 2 you have here.” There’s a $3/2 Arm & Hammer which I used for the trial sized toothpastes. It was an issue, but they took it. I don’t usually do the trial size but thought I would just to see how it went. I felt funny, too, but I know it’s “legal” and don’t find it unethical. It’s just kinda embarrassing. Thank you for your post. These match ups are quite thorough.

Daphnemomof9 – please don’t feel like you pulled a fast one on them. You used coupons that didn’t specify a product size. And Target’s coupon policy clearly states that they will adjust the price down to the value of the coupon (so that they aren’t paying you, but you get it for free). Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I saw the .68 sale price for the Crystal Light, but got the beep for the coupons and she wouldn’t take them. Then I used the Tide coupons for travel size and it beeped again, she took it, but I ended up feeling like I pulled a fast one on them. Didn’t like that feeling. The Johnson and Johnson for the Buddies bar soap beeped too, but they took those after quite a bit of checking it out, wasn’t quite sure they were going to take them. And… this is the “good and friendly” Target. I guess it just depends on which cashier you get.

I found the Crystal light 3pks on sale for .68! They took my 2/2 q just fine. I had a really good trip this time no troubles with Q’s or rain checks.

There are Target coupons on the Mr. Clean bottles for 75 cents off. I bought a bottle of Mr. Clean got the spray free and gave two 75 cent Target coupons. Plus, I used a 75 cent mq from the PG Home Simple mailer. Total was 2.39-2.25 in coupons, so .14 for two bottles.
