I am so excited about the ice cream deal! I was bummed I couldn't get to Bigg's where it is $1 ac, but now I'm going to get it for .70! I have 4 of the $1 coupons.
I just wanted to mention that I went to Target today for my usual spending trip and they refused to accept my coupons that would make my items free. I had several $1.00 off coupons to use on 99 cent items and they refused to take them. I wrote a post about it.
Hi Marcy, The A1 was $2.89 and both of my stores- boo!
I posted a deal on Gardenburgers for .89 here:
http://myfrugaladventures.blogspot.com/search/label/Target
There is also a great deal on glade candles for .17 here:
http://myfrugaladventures.blogspot.com/2009/06/target-deal-glade-candle.html
I got 4 of them today.
The A1 sauce at Graceland Target is 2.99.
Anyone know if you can do the Oscar Mayer/Kraft deal twice? If you buy 2 lunch meats and 2 cheeses, can you get 2 lunch meats free? The ad says there's a limit to the number of free items, but it doesn't say how many.
Today I tried to use coupons recently printed from A Full Cup coupon generator to do the Pepsi and Archer Chips and salsa deals. They wouldn't scan and the cashier told me she couldn't put them through if they didn't scan. She called a manager just to check and the manager told her to accept them anyhow (there was a line and they wanted to get the transaction over). But, I am wondering how to avoid this in the future. The coupons were a little "fuzzy". I tried with both of my printers so it is not a printer problem. Has anyone else had this issue?
Alice - I didn't see a limit per transaction listed in the sale ad, but I haven't tried these deals yet to confirm.
Ted - I use the AFC coupons at my local Target and have not had issues, but I have had at least one commenter in the past that has had the same experience as you. Maybe it is a printer issue, but I'm not sure. One thing you could try is to print the coupons directly from the Target website as they become available. The only problem with that is Target takes them off of their site long before they expire (hence the coupon generators). The Target coupon site link is: http://sites.target.com/site/en/supertarget/page.jsp?title=coupons_specials&ref=sc_iw_l_1_0
Does anyone else have another suggestion?
Target has Cetaphil lotion and their products on sale this week for 7.99 as well. I receive Cetaphil emails and had recently got a $1.00 off coupon through email which makes Cetaphil lotion cheaper for us to use.
Ted-Target is supposed to take their own coupons if the numbers can be typed in, even if it won't scan. Even printing Target q's directly from their site, I still get some that won't scan for whatever reason from time to time. The cashier should manually enter the barcode if scanning doesn't work...the manager was correct to make her take them. Good luck!
I had the same problem with the Pepsi and AF Chips coupons today. I am going to try changing my paper orientation to landscape before I print next time. I think the coupons will print larger that way and scan (btw, my cashier knew to type them in manually).
Also, I used a $1.50/1 Digiorno MQ found in the 5/17Ss to make the deal a pizza and coke for $4.00 :)
Also, the A.F. chips deal is good for more than just the tortilla chips...look for the signs.
Last, the Degree at my store was $2.34. They took the $1.50 Target printable and $1/1 MQ from the insert with no problem.
Thanks so much for your blog. It was a fabulous help to me!!
I can only find the A-1 Steak Sauce for $2.99 at my local Hilliard Ohio Target. Is there any stores in central Ohio having it for $2.09?
I was the one who had trouble originally getting the Pepsi and AF chips coupons to scan (from A Full Cup)(I left the original post from my husband's e-mail, oops!). I went back to do the chips deal again and this time went to customer service. They looked at the coupons and told me to bring my cart up to them at check-out time. They seemed fine honoring the coupons but clearly the cashiers have been told not to honor coupons that don't scan. The woman at the customer service counter did type in the coupons for me. Thanks for the help with this deal. I have two teenage boys with plans to have several events at our house this summer. Having lots of chips and pop on hand will make entertaining them a joy!
I find that when I print the Target coupons on my color printer, they scan fine. On my laserjet printer they often don't scan.
We have been finding the A-1 for $2.09 at my Targets up here in the St Paul, MN area. The $2.09 ones are up on the top shelf so you have to look a bit.
I am curious can you use a $5 GC to generate another? Does that make sense. I have a GC from the Huggies deal and I am wanting to get the ice cream, can I pay with my GC and still receive another?
Jenn - I think so. You can't use the gift card in the same transaction you earned it, but I'm pretty sure you can use a gift card earned during a previous transaction toward another purchase that generates a new one.
I don't see on smartsource where the baked lays coupon is - what zip code are you using?
Kel - it looks like the Baked Lays coupon is no longer available. :-(
I did they Ice Cream deal as well, and FYI for all you candle lovers . Target has little Glade candles marked down to 1.69 each. There in a little tin can with a pretty flowered top, but the best part is that when I opened to smell it a beutiful little coupon for 1.50 off. So I bought 6 at .17cents each.
I also tried to use the coupons today from A Full Cup for the Pepsi and Archer chips. They wouldn't scan and they wouldn't accept them. Cashier supervisor said they are no longer allowed to type in coupons because of fraud. I guess I can only print them from the Target website from now on. Bummer.
Our Target in Texas (Katy) has started doing a limit of 4 coupons for like items. They say that they have the right to limit because they say the average size family is 4. Well, what about the families that have more than 4? I am a little disappointed with this new act of limiting. The problem that I really have is that you can go at one point of the day and they limit, but then when you go back at another point, you can get all that you want. Why is there such a wishy-washy policy at Target?
i would be happy if they allowed us to use 4 coupons for like items!! here in california, they are limiting it to 2 coupons for like items!!
