Menu Plan Monday: January 5

After a fairly long hiatus, I am hoping get back into the habit of menu planning. It saves me time, money and sanity...I'm not sure why I stopped to tell you the truth! In addition to our weeknight meals, I am going to start planning our weekend lunches as well. Eating out is too tempting for us during the weekend and I'm hoping to mitigate that by having a plan. We'll see how things go!

I will link to recipes whenever possible. Please note that in order to see the recipes that I am using from Taste of Home's Simple & Delicious magazine, you need to be a subscriber of a Taste of Home publication.

Monday: Crockpot Chili & Crackers

Tuesday: Polynesian Pork & Pineapple Rice

Wednesday: Grilled Chicken Breasts, Butter Noodles & Lemon Green Beans

Thursday: Leftovers Night - Chili topped Baked Potatoes with Cheese

Friday: Eat Out/Pizza Night

Saturday: L - Ham & Cheese Pizza Snacks D - Chicken Lasagna Rollups

Sunday: L - Leftover Lasagna Rollups D - Chicken Soft Tacos & Refried Beans

My weekly menu plans are centered around what is in my pantry and what I can find on sale each week. I aim to spend approximately $100/week on groceries/toiletries/household items. My goal is to spend $80 per week on groceries and household items. I'm pretty good with the groceries but I can go crazy in CVS.

I love that we are all doing the menu planning. Its so inspiring. I am starting officially on Monday but doing it a little this week.

Soup I made last night the hubs and I ate tonight. The boys had green eggs and ham, the ham I am using for potatoham soup tomorrow night. It's actually a lot of fun!
