Tonight I ran to Kroger to get my Mega Event items. With the exception of the Land O Lakes butter, my store had everything that I wanted in stock.
So...would you believe that I got all of the items in the picture above (plus one Breyers ice cream) for $10?? I still can't believe it!
The total price of the items in the picture above was $49 before coupons. I had $24 in coupons, and got $15 off as part of the Mega Event sale. So that means I spent $10 out of pocket. $10!!
Here are my best deals:
* Carnation Evaporated Milk (6) - FREE
* Powerade (1) - FREE
* Betty Crocker Cookie Pouches (5) - FREE (note: I did get $0.50 overage when using my $0.75/1 coupons)
* Bic Disposable Razors (2) - FREE
* Swiss Miss Cocoa (2) - $0.25/ea
* Palmolive Dish Soap - $0.50/ea
You can read my Mega Event match up post here.
If you have your own Mega Event scenarios you would like to share, you can add them to Mr. Linky here.
And that, my friends, will hopefully be my last Kroger Mega Event post for this week!! I promise I'll get some other deals up for you shortly!

Why, oh why, can't we have a Kroger!?
Awesome! I can't wait to go tomorrow!
I wish we had a Kroger!! Closest one is 1 hr away. I did get some good deals at GE this week with coupons printed from the code on my magazine in the mail. I was able to get Kraft cheese $1 a pk, Kraft dressing .50 pk, jello pudding & jello 1.00 a pk, ritz crackers $1 a box, etc Total before sale & coupons was 83.44, after sale and coupons I spent 41.76 & that included a dvd AND 4 pds grapes & more. Gotta love a deal.
I have a question about the raincheck in this sort of a sale. My Kroger was out of a few things and I have thought of getting a raincheck, but not sure how it works. Would it give me sale price? What about the $5 off if I bought 10? Do you just use your coupons after with the raincheck? Thanks so much!
Just got my sales ad for the new week. Oddly enough here in Dallas, my Kroger sales run a week behind .. so you all give me a glimpse into next weeks sales. :-)
Marcy, I too am so sad not to have a Kroger. I hope you were very proud of yourself as that was a totally awesome deal! Keep up the great blogging : )
Thank you so much for listing all these deals. I had a great shopping trip to Kroger yesterday. I was so excited!:)
I had some time to kill at work today, so I decided to go to Kroger and see how many Smartsource machine coupons I could get.While I was there, I noticed quite a few items in the $5/10 deal that were not listed in the ad. A couple that stood out were the Glade Scented Oil Candles & Refills (peelies by them too for $2 off) and Activia yogurt (and I think Dannon slim shot?) was also part of the $5/10 deal. I snagged alot of the Activia peelies. They were $1 off 6 pack. There were a few others that I can't remember. Will pay better attention and make note of them when I go back next week. My ad says the Mega event is good until 11/15.
sisters saving - I'm not sure how a rain check would work in this instance. I know that they would at least give you the sale price, but am not sure about the $5 off. I have always had good luck with Kroger customer service, so I'm assuming they would work with you in some way. I know once I had coupons that were expiring for items that were on sale but out of stock, and they wrote on the rain check to take the coupons anyway. And yes, you do just use your coupons with the rain check at the time of purchase. I'll let you know if I find out more about this.
Thanks so much for all of the comments and additional deals! I appreciate you all reading and leaving your feedback. I love connecting with readers b/c then I don't feel like I am talking to myself! :-)
I just want to thank you so much for doing this..today at Kroger my things rang up to $105.00 and I only had to pay $60.00. I have never saved so much before, I'm sure the cashier thought I was nuts because I was so excited, couldn't have done it without you...thanks!!!!!
