A Few More Notes About Saving at Kroger with Cellfire

Yesterday I posted about a new way to load coupons on to your Kroger Plus Card called Cellfire. Now that I have had a little time to play around with it, I wanted to post some more info.

My cell phone does not have texting capability, so I decided to register my home phone to see if that would work (per Christy's suggestion). I signed up last night and lo and behold when I logged in this morning I was able to enter my Kroger Plus card number and add coupons to the card! I hope that I'm not doing anything illegal, but I'm assuming this is ok since the Cellfire site does allow you to use your PC to upload coupons.

Here is a list of grocery coupons currently available on Cellfire (for use at Kroger stores). All of these coupons expire on 11/17 and it appears that you need to load these particular coupons on to your card by 11/3:

* $0.50/1 Cottonelle Toilet Paper (4 pk +)

* $0.50/1 Pepperidge Farm Goldfish

* 1 FREE box of Active Lifestyle Weight Control Oatmeal (any)

* $1/1 Huggies Diapers (any)

* $1.50/1 Huggies Surpreme Diapers (any)

* $1/1 Kotex Product (any)

* $1/1 Pepperidge Farm Frozen Bread (any)

* $1.50/1 Private Selection Deli Pizza (any)

* Buy one (1) 20 ounce bottle of Naturally Preferred Water, any variety, and get one FREE.

There is a limit of 10 coupons per Kroger Plus Card.

Now for the really exciting news! Lorrie left a comment stating that these coupons can be used in addition to the coupons from P&G eSaver and Shortcuts, along with paper coupons! Which means that in come cases, you could use 3 coupons on one item!

For example, you can use a $1/1 Huggies coupon from the 10/26 Smart Source insert, load a $1/1 Huggies coupon on to your card at shortcuts.com, and load the $1/1 Huggies coupon from Cellfire for a total savings of $3 on one pack of Huggies diapers! For a list of more coupon match ups using these particular coupons, check out Lorrie's post here.

Now that I have loaded these coupons on to my card, I can't wait to try them out! Feel free to leave a comment if you have additional info or have used these coupons successfully.

They must have changed the naturally preferred coupon since I signed up. It was for 1 Free bottle. I will have to sign up my husband's card and check it out again.

Marcy-
What did you do for the text message code they send you while you're registering? I'm using my home number too...

My Cellfire coupons did not work on my home phone. I don't know if that is the reason or they are not working at all.

Here is what I did:

* Signed up for an account, ignored the text message info.

* Signed into my account the next day using my home phone # and birth year for log in

* Somehow added my Kroger Card to my account (I can't remember this step exactly, but look under the "My Account" tab.

* Went back later that night and clicked on "Deals" tab, then on "Grocery" (in left hand nav bar. Then I could view and add coupons.

Please let me know if this helps...

I was able to sign up and load coupons. However, they did not work at Kroger.
I checked the FAQ on the site and it appears that you must receive at least one text to get the password.

I'll try to use mine this week to see if the same thing happens. Thanks for this info!
