Giant Eagle Deals – 7/17-7/23

by Marcy on July 17, 2008 · 0 comments

Here are a few deals I see at Giant Eagle this week. I am using a Central Ohio ad, and my store doubles coupons up to $0.99. Please check your local ad to confirm deals in your area.

This is the best deal that I see for this week:

* Print off up to 12 (!?) $3/1 Planter’s coupons (links to coupons here) . Planter’s Peanuts (16 oz) are on sale this week for $2.50/ea. Purchase 3 Kraft, Oscar Mayer or Nabisco products and get $3 off of 1 Planter’s product. There are tons of scenarios for this deal, but many blogs I read have reported that you can buy Kool-aid packets and Jello (both Kraft products). That means that you should be able to get your 3 products plus the peanuts for close to free after coupon. Please post a comment or link to your blog if you have posted your scenario.

On top of all of this, Hot Coupon World is reporting that if you buy 3 Planter’s peanuts in one transaction, you will get a $2 off of your next purchase coupon! It also looks as if you can purchase Kool-aid and get the following coupons/catalinas: Buy (4) & get $2.00 Buy (5) & get $3.00 Buy (6) or more & get $4.00 Update: Found another post on HCW with more info: Kool-Aid 8 qt. or larger canisters & 16 ct. boxes NOT individual packets. Sorry about that!

This is what I am hoping will work on my first try:

Purchase:
* 9 Kool-Aid packets – $0.22/ea??
* 3 Planter’s Peanuts – $7.50

Use 3 – $3/1 Planter’s coupons

Total Out of Pocket = price of 9 Kool-Aid Packets ($1.98?) – less if they give me the Planter’s overage of $1.50

Total Catalinas/Coupons for next purchase = $6 ($2 from Planter’s, $4 from Kool-Aid) $2 from Planter’s purchase

I will post my scenarios and will also let you know if this works once I go to Giant Eagle (hopefully on Thursday).
