My Great Deal at Lowe's

Over the weekend we made a trip to Lowe’s for some random home improvement items. Because we aren’t going on a big vacation this year, we decided to use some of our vacation savings for a few projects around the house.

As we were walking through the store, I happened to look over at a clearance section and spotted this:

We built our house about 7 years ago, and we have been slowly replacing some of the more “generic” items that come with a new build. When we built we didn’t upgrade the lighting in two of our bathrooms, so I have been on a mission to replace the ugly lights with nicer ones. We updated the half bath a couple of months ago, but I still want to replace the light fixture and mirror in our daughter’s bathroom.

Needless to say, I was pretty excited when I spied this light fixture marked down to $13.20 from $66! I asked an employee if there was anything wrong with it (the box is in perfect condition & has never been opened) and he said that it was clearanced because they redid their lighting inventory the day before and this particular light is no longer something they carry.

We also used our $10/25 coupon here and ended up getting the light fixture for about $10! (Reminder: these coupons expire 7/30/08!)

Now I am on the lookout for a cheap mirror to hang above the sink, and I’ll be able to cross that project off of our list!
