Pennies Really Do Add Up!

Several years ago my husband and I started collecting our loose change in a large jar in our kitchen. When the jar was full we would cash in the change and use it for spending money on vacation. If my memory serves me right, we typically empty it about once a year, and this week was the week to do it.

I typically take our change to a counting machine at our bank, but decided to roll it this year. It took me a couple of days (working off and on) but I made the deposit today. I am happy to report that I deposited $190! We actually had close to $200, but I threw what I wasn’t able to roll back into the jar. We haven’t decided what we are going to use it for yet, but I’m sure we will come up with something!

I know that I have seen several posts about collecting change on some of the blogs that I frequent. How about you? Do you collect your spare change, and if so, what do you spend the money on?
