If you pay attention to my budget numbers at all, you will see that I am now $7.71 over budget for this month. I still have approximately $40 worth of groceries to buy for the birthday party on 3/1, so I will be about $50 over budget for this month. I am bummed that I missed my target goal, but am trying not to beat myself up too bad. My weekly average this month will be about $88/week which is an improvement over last year. All that I can do is try to do better in March!
As far as my trip to Kroger went, I did find a few deals to note. Using the Old El Paso printable coupons either at coupons.com or smartsource.com (I can't seem to find them online today?), I was able to get 2 cans of Refried Beans for $0.49/ea.
Sargento Shredded Cheese is also on sale for $2/ea. If you use the coupons that were in the paper a couple of weeks ago, you can get these for $1 or $1.20 ea depending on the value of your coupon (my coupons were $0.40/1, my mom's coupons were $0.50/1 - I used both).
Baby Carrots are B1G1 and were priced at $2.29 at my store. I needed these for my veggie trays and got them for $1.15/ea. (peeling and cutting myself would have been cheaper)
Some other deals that I see this week are:
*Kraft Shredded Cheese & Cheese Slices - $2/ea - you can get these cheaper if you use some of the Kraft coupons that were in the paper in January (I already used mine a few weeks back)
*Daisy Sour Cream $2/ea - use $0.50/1 coupons from paper and get these for $1/ea
* Bertolli Pasta Dinners - on sale $6.99/ea - I found coupons online (again coupons.com or smartsource.com) that were for $2.50/1. I can't find them today so they may be gone now... I gave my friend the coupons and she can get these for $4.49/ea.
* Dole Bagged Salad B1G1 - if you combine with $0.55/1 coupons from paper you can get a descent price on these (around $2/ea, I believe)
* Kroger Brand Butter is on sale for $1.99. You can stock up and freeze this. (From what I am reading, the price of Butter is supposed to rise as the year goes on).
* Texas Toast is 40% off and there were coupons in the paper a couple of weeks back
* Private Selection Organic Salad is on sale for $2.99/ea - I found lots of this marked down to $1.49/ea at my store so keep your eye out for "manager's special" tags

Thanks for the Run down on Kroger deals. Me & some ladies were thinking of car pooling to Kroger & we didnt know if we should. So your post is very helpful..
That is a good price on butter, I will have to go pick some up.
Be sure to check your local ads to confirm that the sales are the same at your store before going. I hope that they are!
I noticed that you remarked a couple of times that some of the online coupons were gone...a possible explanation is that once you print the coupon, it is removed from the collection of coupons to prevent you from printing it over and over and over.
You scored some great deals, though!
